First Split 2 Set Photos Reveal Samuel L. Jackson’s Mr. Glass

Last year’s Split directed by M Night Shyamalan proved to be a massive hit and also broke the director’s crazy flops streak. Fans absolutely loved James McAvoy’s brilliant acting in the movie but more importantly, the ending proved to be the icing on the cakeSplit’s post-credits scenes revealed Bruce Willis’, David Dunn character from another massively hit Shyamalan movie, Unbreakable (2000). In the scene, Dunn was shown sitting in a diner watching the news of James McAvoy’s Kevin Crumb character’s arrest. Of course, Kevin keeps multiple personalities hidden inside of him and it was shown in the news that Kevin will be sent to the same institution where Samuel L Jackson’s Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass, is. This post-credits scene almost confirmed that the fan-favorite Unbreakable will finally be getting a sequel in the form of Split 2. Shortly after, M Night Shyamalan confirmed that Glass a.k.a Split 2 will serve as a worthy sequel to both Split (2016) and Unbreakable (2000).

Earlier this year, Shyamalan also announced on social media that Glass will begin shooting in September/October with James McAvoy and the Unbreakable stars, Bruce Willis (David Dunn) and Samuel L. Jackson (Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass). Currently, the filming is underway in Pennsylvania and we finally have some first set photos of an elder Elijah Price. In the photos, Jackson can be seen in his wheelchair wearing all purple which indicates that Price’s fondness for the purple hasn’t faded over the years. M. Night Shyamalan mentioned that he’s very happy and “emotional” after seeing all of the cast together after 17 years. Shyamalan picked an abandoned psychiatric hospital in Philadelphia named the Allentown hospital which was built in 1912 and closed down in 2010. According to the director, this abandoned facility seemed like a perfect place to shoot the sequel to both Split and Unbreakable, that is Glass.

Glass will serve as the final movie in the trilogy that will bring the events of Unbreakable (2000) and Split (2016) to a close. According to Glass’ revealed synopsis, Dunn (Bruce Willis) is going to be hot on trail of James McAvoy’s serial killer The Horde and an older Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson). Check out the first Glass set photos and stay tuned for more and latest Hollywood news.
